The Breastfeeding Coalition of Oregon (BCO) is the statewide entity that serves to build and link families and community partners to support, promote and protect breastfeeding in Oregon. We aim to make breastfeeding the cultural norm in Oregon.

This website is organized in terms of the audience seeking information and subject matter. Organizing the information this way reflects what public health professionals refer to as the Social Ecological Framework, which recognizes that individuals make health decisions in the context of many layers of influential relationships and information.
On a local and statewide level, the BCO aims to effect all the spheres of influence that surround a breastfeeding family, so together we experience a culture which supports, promotes and protects breastfeeding as biologically normative.
